Fatu is a speaker, storyteller, and personal brand strategist who helps leaders and professionals remove the internal and external barriers that limit performance, presence, and visibility. Her work focuses on identity, leadership presence, personal brand, and strategic communication, supporting individuals and teams in showing up with clarity, confidence, and credibility in today’s evolving workplace.
Born during a civil war and later serving as a refugee, Fatu brings a lived understanding of resilience, adaptability, and leadership under pressure. She is the first woman in a family of nearly twenty to attend university, the first to earn a master’s degree, and the first hijab model in Nova Scotia.
What began as a distant dream — watching global stages from the outside — evolved into building those stages herself. Fatu has organized and spoken at TEDx events, founded the Canadian International Peace Conference, and worked alongside United Nations leaders, policymakers, and institutions at both local and national levels.
With a background that spans first-generation leadership, global platforms, and collaboration with international organizations, Fatu brings both lived experience and professional rigor to every engagement — offering audiences perspective, credibility, and practical insight into leadership, identity, and visibility.
